Are my documents safe with Papeloops?

Files are processed entirely in memory and never written to disk or object storage. The moment your download starts, the data is gone from our side. We also can't read stored copies later — there are none.

Is it free to use?

Creating an account and using the core tools is free during our launch period. Paid plans with higher limits are coming; there are no hidden subscriptions.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Papeloops runs entirely in your browser on desktop, tablet, or phone.

What file types are supported?

PDF for all tools, plus PNG and JPEG for image-to-PDF conversion. Files are verified by content, not just filename, and password-protected PDFs are rejected rather than mishandled.

Is the stamp a legal e-signature?

The stamp tool adds a visual mark, not a cryptographic digital signature. If you need legally binding e-signing, that feature is on our roadmap.

Can Papeloops read or open my documents?

We don't manually inspect your files. Uploads are validated by their actual content — not filename or claimed type — purely to confirm they're a real PDF or image, then processed by the tool you chose and discarded. Nobody at Papeloops opens or reviews your documents.

What happens to my file if I close the tab before it finishes?

Nothing to worry about. If you close the tab mid-upload or mid-processing, the request simply stops and whatever was received is discarded. Nothing is ever written to disk, so there's nothing left behind either way.

What's the file size and page limit?

Each upload is capped at 15 MB and 500 pages per document — generous enough for the vast majority of real-world PDFs, and small enough to keep processing fast.
