Will scanned PDFs convert correctly?
Not reliably — this tool doesn’t perform OCR, so scanned or image-only PDFs may convert with missing or garbled text. It works best on PDFs that already contain real, selectable text.
Will formatting be preserved exactly?
Most headings, paragraphs, and basic formatting carry over, but complex layouts — multi-column pages, unusual fonts, intricate tables — may shift. Always review the converted document.
Why does this tool need an account when some others don’t?
Conversion runs through a metered third-party service (Adobe PDF Services), unlike our other tools which run entirely on our own servers at no per-file cost.
Are my documents stored anywhere?
On our side, never — your file is processed in memory and discarded immediately. Adobe PDF Services processes the file in their cloud to perform the conversion and does not store it long-term.
